Most of my current work is figurative.
I work with live models, nude or partially clothed, and produce charcoals, oil pastels, watercolors, clay (ceramics), "live" wires, and digital images.
In the last few years, I've done a lot of plein air sketches, which I translate into landscape digital paintings.

My heart
is in the
"gestural"
approach
to the
figure,
regardless
of
medium.
I try and
capture
the
essence of
a given
pose in a
very short
time.
60 seconds
or
less
to capture
the body's
form and
movement.
Pieces of artwork I've created are handled in an archival tradition: acid free papers, matting materials, glassed and framed and sealed where appropriate. |
