The following work was created for a exhibition called "The Scene and The Unseen", at the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center.  3 panels were created, with 3 printed images (16" wide) on each panel.  All were drawn/created in Painter from a drawing done with a live model.  I play with a number of different brushes, and composite the various drawings back on top, or use them as clone sources to create various effects.  An explanation of which techniques were used is below each image.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Original drawing was in B & W,  done with charcoal.  I used "Color Correct" to get the blue tinting.

Used "Variable Round Brushes" and "Palette Knife" (Positive Image) "Color Correct" to get the different tinting

I captured the whole figure as a pattern, and then used the "pattern brush" to paint onto her body I played around with compositing  the two images.   Used Panel 2-3 as a clone source with the "impressionist clone brush" (large) to bring up back ground.  Used 3-1 as clone with "soft cloner" to bring back some line.  Finished with "Good Brush"

Used new P7 watercolor, "runny wash bristle", then "pattern brush"

Negative Image of top image in this panel, additional lines added with "Paolo's Good Brush"

Same as above, only used the "CallyLight" brush as a clone brush

Have fun!
