Having participated in the Open Studios Screening process for more than a few years and as Chair of the Open Studios Committee, I decided the screening panel needed some comic relief during the process, so I made up an all digital application, creating images & descriptions & studio shots, that as the viewing went on, became more apparent that the joke was on!   Enjoy!

Fake Open Studios Application for 2010

 

"I strive to observe the unimportant mundane artifacts in our daily lives.  This latest series of paintings is based on a bowl of Zen Optimum Cereal in 1% milk.  It captured my eye:  as I ate the cereal, the various elements floating on the top of the milk created beautiful compositions, which I photographed, and then used as inspiration for my larger acrylic paintings on canvas."
